IDL ElectionsIn February 2009, the IDL SIG announced that it was looking for two Assistant Manager candidates to run for election for the 2009-2010 SIG year. At that time, we received no responses from the SIG membership, so we did not conduct the SIG elections. Since that time, your SIG leadership has been talking with several individuals that we felt would make great future leaders of the IDL SIG. Two have stepped forward to run for the two Assistant SIG Manager positions. The two candidates running for the office of Assistant SIG Manager are: • Jamye Sagan • Maralee Sautter We now must begin the Nominations process over again. According to the STC bylaws, we must post the open elected positions for thirty (30) days to the SIG membership before we hold our annual elections. Serving your SIG in a leadership position helps you in improving your leadership skills and also provides you an avenue of giving back and enhancing on the services that the SIG offers to all of its members. For the next thirty (30) days, you have the opportunity to look at the qualifications of the two current candidates (see Nominations page) or to submit yourself or someone else for consideration for these two officer positions.
