The IDL SIG believes in encouraging those who are pursuing formal training in instructional design. We provide this encouragement by offering scholarships each year to students pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree or certificate in the field. See the College Student Scholarships page for more details.
The IDL SIG also helps its members identify and develop knowledge and practical skills for designing, developing, and implementing technical instruction in electronic and traditional classroom settings. Our goal is to promote sound design practices and educate members about instructional theory and research.
We also offer scholarships to two IDL SIG members to be used toward attendance at the STC Summit (our annual conference). See the Summit Scholarships for Members page for details.
