There were no lazy days of summer for our SIG! Here are just some of our summer activities.

Free webinars for all SIG members. Four dynamic webinars were offered this summer—What I Wish I Had Known with John Hedtke; Lightning Talks with Kit Brown-Hoekstra, Viqui Dill, Jamye Sagan, Mellissa Ruryk,  and Robert Hershenow; Editor as Collaborator with Lori Meyer; and Lessons My Cat Taught Me About ID with Jamye Sagan. These SIG-sponsored webinars give attendees opportunities to polish a skill, explore a different perspective on a current TechComm topic, or get to know more about a TechComm leader. Our webinars are free to all SIG members and available to non-members at a nominal fee. This is one of many ways in which to get more out of your STC and SIG memberships.

All SIG members are welcome to attend monthly leadership team meetings. Consider attending a leadership team meeting. They are held the 4th Wednesday of each month. Tune in and find out more about our SIG, our plans for the future, and how you can get involved! For more information about how to dial in, go to http://www.stcidlsig.org/youre-invited-attend-idl-sig-monthly-meeting/.

Help our SIG grow! If you have been thinking about joining the Society for Technical Communication, membership dues are prorated when you join after January. Your savings on STC education and access to STC publications will make joining now a bargain. Do you know someone who might be interested in joining? Now is the time to join our fun and forward-thinking community.
